circa 1940
This is what is called a "fan" perfume bottle which was highly popular in the 1940's. Made of moulded glass, the stoppers are always large (in fact, as large as the bottle) and "fan" out. This stopper is particularly attractive, with an unusual eye shape. The ground stopper is snug. It measures approx. 13x8cm. I believe that this bottle was made by the Imperial Glass Co. for Irice.
a company located in New York City who continues to supply vanity items and perfume bottles to America.
