The Lisner and Company was founded in New York City in 1904. Originally they imported pieces from Europe, however in the 1930’s they began distributing US made jewellery using the Lisner trademark. In the 1950’s they were producing their own lines, which were distinctive in their design and use of colour and materials, such as moulded thermo plastics. This is a very striking demi parure made up of a necklace and clip earrings. The silver tone metal has been set with what are referred to as “lava” stones, they are mis-shapen stones which have an irridescent finish. The “lava” stones have been accented with faceted aurora borealis crystals, the whole demi parure has an ethereal look. The necklace measures 41cm but can be worn shorter is desired, it is approx. 1.5cm wide. The clip earrings measure 2.5cm
