I just love these earrings they are soooo unusual.   Having conducted some research there seems to be several brand names, such as Bubbleite, Featherlite and Featherweight for this type of light weight celluloid jewellery.  It looks as if it is from the Art Deco period but it is actually later and dates from the 1950’s.  They have a sort of “shabby chic" effect, where the celluloid flowers have been decorated with winter white and black paint, scattered with clear stones.  They are such fun, I shall have to keep my eyes open for more.   Clip fittings.  Measures 4.3x2cm
