i have never had a brooch like this before, I reckon it would have been a tourist piece.  This cute  little horse/pony is made of porcelain or some such material, in a gorgeous deep red, which has been “brushed” with gold paint on key points.  He would make a lovely present for anyone keen on horses, he is just so charming.  It has been fitted to a brass back plate to give it strength.  It has a trombone style clasp.  Measures approx 4.5x4.5cm
