Lea Stein, a French trained artist, was born in Paris in 1931.  She began making her whimsical pieces of jewellery in 1969, when her husband, Fernand Steinberger, came up with a process of laminating layers of rhodoid (cellulose acetate sheets) with interesting textures and colours. This is another early piece, from between 1968 to 1980. A rather striking cat in a black and grey marble effect. He has a pretty red bow. Measures approx. 6.1x5.5cm
