Normally I wouldn’t buy things from the 1980’s but I thought that this parrot brooch was so beautifully cast.  The Jonnete Jewelry Company was founded in Rhodes Island around 1935 and were known for producing figural and patriotic style pieces.  This parrot is in a lovely soft matte finished gold tone metal, some of the features have been given a highly polished finish.  Measures approx. 9.3x5cm
