Condition Rating:

All the vintage jewellery offered by Chic and Unique is in excellent or very good condition, unless otherwise specified. Please find below a guide of condition ratings for your convenience.

Excellent = Almost new condition, no noticeable flaws, discoloured stones and virtually no plating or enamel loss
Very good = there maybe some minor signs of wear or age i.e. slight wear to the plating or enamel, minor foil damage to the stones. Flaws will be minor but just enough to downgrade the item from an ³excellent² condition rating. Any such flaws will be listed under the description of a specific item.
Good = there will be clear signs of wear and age, such as noticeable plating and/or enamel loss, the stones may be dull or greying. Again, specific flaws will be pointed out in the item description.
Fair = major condition problems i.e. broken pin, catches, serious wear to plating etc., deterioration of stones. Consequently, the price has been adjusted accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE: All items are individual, there are not, as a rule, duplicates of any item. These are vintage pieces and no longer mass-produced, consequently I have only the one item you see on the site in inventory and available.

Ordered items will be reserved for 7 days. If payment has not been received within the 7 day timescale, the items will be returned to stock (unless prior arrangements have been made).

Returns Policy

Chic and Unique want you to be entirely happy with your purchase so we have tried to describe every piece accurately and as close to reality as is possible. Please be sure to read all descriptions, size and condition information provided. We encourage questions before your purchase, and would be happy to provide further photographs.

However if you are unhappy with your on-line purchase for any reason, please e-mail us immediately stating the reasons for your dis-satisfaction. Having contacted Chic and Unique, the item should be returned within 5 days of receipt.  If this timescale is not possible then we would ask that you contact us to discuss the matter further.

Subsequently Chic and Unique will give a full refund, excluding postage and insurance, provided that the item is in the SAME CONDITION as it was sent and returned in the same packaging and manner, i.e. special delivery.  Proof of posting should always be obtained.  Chic and Unique cannot be held responsible for items that may be lost in transit, but will assist in any claims made with the Royal Mail.

 Credit/debit card purchases will be refunded directly back onto the original card used. If any other form of payment has been used then these will be refunded by cheque.



Postage and packaging

Within the UK

All jewellery issued from Chic and Unique is boxed and wrapped securely. If you are returning an item, please make sure that you do the same. All items are sent through Royal Mail by special next day delivery, thereby insuring the item, not exceeding a value of £500, and requiring a signature on receipt.   Should you require additional insurance then this will be determined after the order has been placed.

If you have special shipping needs, we will do our best to accommodate, please don't hesitate to fill out the special instructions box on your order form.

International

For international shipping, all items will be sent either by airsure or signed for international, under these services the parcel is automatically insured for a value not exceeding £250.  If you require further insurance, then shipping costs will have to be determined after the order has been placed.  Chic and Unique will  not falsify custom forms. Custom charges are the buyers responsibility based on individual countries.

Note: shipping fees are non-refundable.

IMPORTANT

Chic and Unique always obtain proof of posting and therefore cannot be held responsible/liable for any packages that may be lost in transit.  It is possible to claim for losses through Royal Mail, provided a suitable amount of insurance has been purchased.
