Eisenberg

Eisenberg was originally a clothing manufacturer founded in 1914, by Jonas Eisenberg, the jewellery came later, around 1930, when the company decided that their clothing sales could be boosted by introducing a complementary range of accessories. In 1958 the Company abandoned production of the clothing line.

Eisenberg jewellery was considered some of the most refined costume jewellery ever made. Despite never using real gemstones or precious metals, the Company prided itself on the high quality of its materials, such as the finest sterling silver and Swarovski Austrian crystals. In the 1940s, their simplest pin would cost more than most people’s weekly salary!!
